I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all processes. Every project is different, and I shape my approach depending on what the product and the people need. Sometimes that means moving fast, testing ideas and iterating. Other times, it means slowing right down, untangling messy systems, and asking uncomfortable questions to get to the heart of the problem.
For me, design isn’t just about what things look like. It’s about how they work, why they work that way, and how they can work better. Strategy comes first. I like to zoom out, map the system, and figure out how everything connects before I ever open Figma.
I’m not precious about sticking to a process. I’m precious about building the right thing. Good design is layered, messy, and always evolving and I’m here for it.
I’m a huge fan of thought-provoking, well-directed films and shows. I love falling down YouTube rabbit holes of commentaries and analyses to curate my watch lists. These stories set the stage for interesting conversations with friends and reflections about the human experience.
As I work toward my ultimate dream of owning a private library, Green Square Library is fueling my reading addiction in the meantime. I read across a variety of genres, but lately I’ve been challenging myself to explore beyond my usual mysteries—diving into autobiographies and fantasy. To my surprise, I’ve really enjoyed them, and they’re shaping me into a more well-rounded reader.
